INTRODUCING THE HOW WILL THEY HEAR? CAMPAIGN

The How Will They Hear? Campaign is a three-component effort to make sure that Concordia Seminary remains fiscally ready and able to continue its mission. Initiated in 2005 in a quiet, behind-the-scenes manner, the Campaign will go public and be announced to the Synod at large in the fall of 2008. How Will They Hear? is designed to secure $77 million in gifts and commitments for the three major interconnected components essential to a Christ-centered theological education in the 21st century.

The Campaign timetable encompasses the five fiscal years from July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2010, and has achieved more than $57 million of its goal to date.

PASTORS – the students, with the numbers and skills needed to effectively address 21st century mission challenges

  • Sustaining Fund $17.25 million
  • Tuition Grants and Scholarships $27 million
  • Total Pastors $44.25 million

 PLACE – the campus

  • High-priority renovations of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure
  • Technological transformation to deliver the finest theological education to remote settings
  • Total Place $17.75 million

PROMISE – endowment for students, faculty chairs, graduate student fellowships, and the strengthening of key programs

  • Total Endowment $15 million

 Total Goal $77 million
